With the new year comes the
need to update, do a little refresh and reset for the year ahead, and what better why to do that then with an OPTA website refresher  We are always receiving calls
and questions in the of ce about navigating the OPTA website, where to access documents and much more  We thought it would be
helpful to answer some of the most common questions for you right here—so let’s get started 
Q: Why doesn’t my APTA login work for OPTA?
A: Your login for APTA is different than your OPTA login  Your OPTA login was provided to you when you joined OPTA  If you did not receive that email, simply email opt@ohiopt org and we’ll reset your password and provide you with your username 
Q: Where do I login on the OPTA website (Ohiopt.org)?
A: There are two places you can login on the OPTA homepage  You can access the member sign in at the very top of the homepage (Member Sign In) or on the right-hand side under SIGN IN 
Q: Where do I submit an application for Continuing Education approval?
A: There are two separate places where you can access our CE Application Portal. You can  nd it under the Continuing Education tab on the homepage  Simply hover over the tab and select the dropdown that says CE Application Portal,
or you can  nd the BIG orange button halfway down the homepage that says Continuing Education Resources 
Q: I submitted a CE application and I’d like to check the status. I’ve forgotten my password and I’m trying to reset it but I’m not receiving the email? What am I doing wrong?
A: If you are trying to access the CE Application Portal, you will need to log in through the Continuing Education tab and click on CE Application Portal  We have several applicants that try to reset their CE application portal password through the Member Sign In 
Q: How many CEUs do I have?
A: We have no way of keeping track of CEUs that you’ve obtained with organizations outside of the OPTA  However, you have the option to upload and store CEU info you’ve obtained on your member pro le. This will help you keep all the info in one place. To upload CE certi cates/CE approval numbers, log in to your OPTA member pro le. Under My Pro le, locate MANAGE PROFILE.
Once here, locate CONTENT & FEATURES > Professional Development  Here you can upload, view and print
CE certi cates. If you’ve attended one of the OPTA conferences, you will be able to access your certi cates
for those events here as well 
Q: I need to change my password/update my email/ update my username, where do I go to do this?
A: To make any pro le changes you will need to log in to your OPTA pro le. Once logged in, locate MY PROFILE on the right-hand side, select MANAGE PROFILE  Once here, you can edit your bio under the INFORMATION & SETTINGS section 
Q: I am an Executive/Full Voting/Leadership Board Member. Where can I  nd important board meeting dates, times and documents relevant to my position with the association?
A: After you have been added to the speci c group, you will need to log in to your pro le. Once logged in, locate GROUPS under the My Pro le section, click on your speci c group  Here you will be able to access the calendar and links for important documents 
Q: I’m trying to register for an event on the OPTA website, why do I need to sign-in to receive member pricing?
A: Yes! We require OPTA members to sign in to the website to receive member pricing discounts, so non-members
do not have access to your member pricing  If we did not require our members to sign-in, the system would have no way of differentiating members and non-members  This has been implemented as a bene t of membership. You pay the dues, you deserve the discounts!
