RICHARDSON FIRE STATION NO. 3
The Richardson Fire Station No. 3 project, built for the City of Richardson, includes the relocation of an existing fire station and the new construction of a 13,200-square- foot fire station in Richardson, TX. The new fire station houses three apparatus bays, officer and crew quarters, a spacious living room that serves as a gathering area for firefighters, and a fitness center. The building was constructed on a slab-on-void foundation with a steel structural frame, and a standing steam roof system. The station also includes drilled pier and beam, a storm shelter, and polished concrete floor. The facility features an outdoor public art piece inspired by a vintage fire hose nozzle and provides adequate space for additional trucks, equipment, and personnel to serve the growing population. The Richardson Fire Station No. 3 project provides a modern environment for the first responders of the City of Richardson.
