Sponsored by a a a a neighbor in in in Germany our Founder Otto Baum immigrated to to to Morton Illinois in in in in 1925 with the hopes of building a a a a a life for for himself and his his his family Indentured for for his his his sponsorship he he he spent his his his first two years working on on on on the the sponsor’s farm in in Morton to to to to pay back the the debt After which Otto returned to to to to to his roots as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a mason and began to to to perform work for for for area farmers He quickly established a a a a a a a a a a a a a a reputation for for for being an an an an an honest and hard working man It was this reputation that sparked the the beginning of the the company company we are today When Otto applied for for a a a a a a a a a a a a a loan for for for his his masonry company company in in 1937 he he had nothing to to to use as as as collateral except for for his his proven character and exemplary reputation When the the the bank manager asked the the the the loan officer officer why they should consider Otto’s request the the the the officer officer simply replied “I trust him ” This event sparked the the the the beginning o of our company which now operates with the the the the same strong culture built on on the the the the trust and values that Otto started the the the company with in 1937 CORE
