v The CreateSmart Initiative provides funding for projects that enhance our creative industries.
A series of programmes to reinforce Hong Kong’s status as a city of design excellence in Asia includes the Business of Design Week, the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award, the Design Incubation Programme, and the Fashion Incubation Programme;
v CreateHK’s First Feature Film Initiative supports new Hong
Kong directors in their first feature film projects.
Heritage buildings revitalised to become creative hubs
v A historic building (previously a yacht clubhouse) has been transformed into an art space called Oi!;
v 7 Mallory Street, in a cluster of revitalised pre-war historic buildings in Wan Chai, offers a creative space for Hong Kong’s comics and animation artists;
v PMQ, a historic building used to serve as a police married quarters, has become a creative industries landmark and a home for artists- in-residence.
