  Gender and Technology Communication
Vigyan Prasar, through effective and need- based programmes and resource content, engaged with the S&T intervention for tribal women in the country under the aegis of Gender and Technology Communication. VP collaborated with S&T-based State organisations and State S&T Councils in reaching out to the target groups in different parts of the country. During the period under report, VP organised the following programmes:
Study of Women Technology Parks in the Country for Integrated Development of Rural Women
Vigyan Prasar has been entrusted with a new project on Study of Women Technology Parks in the Country for Integrated Development of
Rural Women by SEED Division of DST. The Women Technology Park (WTP) is a technology modulation and a training centre to showcase improved technologies for women livelihood.
This project seeks to study the status and progress of WTPs, develop documents capturing the status, their best practices and the success of the WTPs, create awareness about them to make it a national level movement and expand the network of beneficiaries.
The progress under the project is as follows: 1. Consolidation of existing knowledge
generated by WTPs in the Country.
2. Finalisation of the framework of the study
and action plan.
3. Field visit to Rural Women Technology Park
(RWTP) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra-II, Sitapur in February 2020.
