The technology show was graced with visits of Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Union Minister Science & Technology, Health & Family Welfare, and Earth Sciences; Prof Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary DST, and other dignitaries. The pavilion was well appreciated by dignitaries and was also visited by a large number of school children, students, researchers, and others.
Vigyan Samagam
Vigyan Samagam is an exhibition of Mega Science projects being organised in different cities of India. The exhibition organised by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in Bengaluru, Kolkata and Delhi included panel discussions by eminent scientists from India and abroad and showcased cutting edge S&T. Vigyan Samagam exhibited the mega-science projects being developed and funded by the Ministry of Science & Technology to create awareness among students and the general
public about the latest S&T developments in India.
Besides the coverage of the major exhibition and sessions in different media, Vigyan Prasar conducted interviews of eminent international and national scientists who were invited in the event during July-August-December 2019 and February 2020. Three (30 minutes each) science videos were also produced and telecast on DD Science. Interviews of the following eminent scientist were covered in videos:
