Cultural programme as Dessert, every Evening
A three-day gala entertainment show was organised in the evenings at both Biswa Bangla Convention Centre and Science City – the two main venues of the festival.
International Science Literature Festival “Vigyanika”
With the theme – ‘Connecting science and literature can connect science to the masses’, Vigyanika- International Science Literature Festival was held during 5-7 November. Vigyanika reached out to the masses through four components of science communication: viz Vigyan Manthan, Vigyan Spandan, Vigyan Manchan, and Vigyan Prakashan. Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, delivered the keynote address. Shri Jayant Sahasrabuddhe, Organising Secretary, Vijnana Bharti said, “Confluence of science and literature will go a long way in taking science to the masses.” More than 400 scientists, science communicators, poets, artists, teachers and students from all over the country shared their experiences.
National Startup Conclave
This conclave provided a common platform for startups to showcase themselves and also interact with various stakeholders from policymakers to innovators, students and researchers. Five sessions were organised as part of the conclave with varied themes ranging from ‘Enabling Startup Ecosystem’,
