the IoT for medical and health-related purposes, data collection and analysis for research, and monitoring. It has been referred as "Smart Healthcare.
It has created a digitized healthcare system, connecting available medical resources and healthcare services.
4. Blockchain
Blockchain is another foundational technology. It can empower electronic currencies such as Cryptocurrencies. Blockchain can be an electronic ledger shared among different persons. It is meant for the maintenance of a record of transactions. In simpler words, it is a way of sharing your valuable data with anonymous group of people in a secure and tamperproof form.
Blockchain technology can be inte- grated into several areas. The primary use of blockchains today is as dissem- inated records for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc. Recent advancement in the uses of blockchain have broadened the potential of this ledger technology in other sectors
like media, government and identity

Data science is multi-disciplinary field that applies scientific methods, process- es, algorithms and systems to obtain knowledge and insight from unorganized and organized data. Data science is the study that deals with large volumes of data using modern tools and techniques.
Data science generally uses a five-step procedure that consists of:
i. Data capture or data acquisition;
ii. Maintenance of data involving data
cleansing, data staging, data
processing etc.;
iii. Processing of data: Data mining,
clustering/classification, data
modelling, data summarization;
iv. Communicating data: Data
reporting, data visualization,
decision making;
v. Analysing the data by
exploratory/confirmatory, predictive analysis, regression, text mining, and qualitative analysis.
It has enormous benefits in our every-
day lives, research and business such as helping in finding the best route to work, identifying the most appropriate and
recent Internet search for the nearest coffee shop, social media post about consumer behaviour, or even health data from personal fitness tracker devices.
3. Internet of Things
The IoT (Internet of Things) is a net- work of devices interconnected to each other. These devices can interact with each other. As per an estimate more than 41 billion devices empowered by IoT will be used by the year 2025. IoT has its wide application in various sec- tors like healthcare, homes, agricultural practices, day–to-day works, industrial works and almost in every sectors.
IoT devices are often used in appli- cations related to home automation like setting the lighting, operating heating and cooling devices, etc. The main benefit includes energy savings, using people with physical challenges etc.
For example, voice control can assist users with sight and mobility limitations while alert systems that can be linked directly to cochlear implants worn by hearing-impaired users. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a function of
