observers, 41 participants recorded the observations on 13 May while others missed the event because of bad weather. Those who missed the event on 13 May reattempted the experiment on 14 May. Few clubs repeated the experiment on
14 May also and thus, in total, we got 84 observations. All these observations were included in the analysis. The table here shows participant clubs and their observing location/s.
Out of these 84 observations, 24 have less than 10% error; 16 observations

The examples of few of the gnomons made by the participants and their observations are shown in Figure 6.
The base platform was made parallel to the ground using a spirit level and the gnomon was erected perpendicu- lar to the platform using right-angle
set square in a stationery box. GPS clock was used to record the timing of local noon. The results obtained from all the observers were then collected and analyzed by the experts of Jyotir- vidya Parisanstha. Out of 81 registered
