MoHFW releases guidelines on near-to-home COVID Vaccination
Centres for elderly and specially abled citizens
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has recently issued guidelines on near-to- home COVID Vaccination Centres for elderly and specially abled citizens. Senior citizens who are yet to take their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or those who have taken the first dose will now get the shots at a vaccination centre that is near to their home. The facility will also include differently abled people below the age of 60 years. It follows a community-based approach where sessions can be conducted in non-health facility-based settings and are nearer to home, e.g., in a community centre, RWA centre/office, panchayat ghar, school buildings, old age homes, etc.
