Minutes of 53rd Governing Body and 30th General Body Meetings of Vigyan Prasar held on February 14, 2020 at Technology Bhawan, New Delhi February 14, 2020, Technology Bhawan
The 53rd Governing Body (GB) and 30th General Body Meetings of Vigyan Prasar (VP) were held at 1500 hrs on 14th of February 2020 at the Technology Bhawan, New Delhi, under the Chairmanship of Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST. Dr. Anil Kakodkar, President, General Body, could not attend the meeting due to other engagements.
The following were present:
Chairman, GB, VP: Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST Members of the GB at the meeting:
• Prof. A.P. Behera, Jt. Director, CIET, NCERT, representing Director, NCERT.
• Dr. Manoj Kumar Patairiya, Associate Head, NCSTC, DST, New Delhi
• Sh. K G Suresh, former Director, IIMC, New Delhi
• Shri Vinod Kumar, PE(CEPU), AIR, representing DG, AIR, New Delhi
• Shri Manoj Kumar, Director (Fin), DST, representing JS&FA, DST, New Delhi.
• Dr. Nakul Parashar, Director, VP
In attendance were Shri M. Mohanti, Scientist ‘F’, AI Cell, DST and Shri Pulok Sen, US(IFD), DST, New Delhi, Shri M L Mudgel, CFA(VP).
The committee considered and ratified the minutes of Finance committee and matters relating appointment of auditor, conformation of staff etc. The Chairman, GB, suggested to convene a Finance Committee meeting and place all the programmes / project proposals having financial implications for their concurrence. These proposals may subsequently be placed before the GB for consideration.
Due to above direction and paucity of time other agenda items such new projects, pay commission etc could not be discussed. The meeting ended with vote of thanks to all present.
