such as the ‘Journal Article-based Seminar’, a thematic seminar followed by Thesis Colloquium, all in an open forum.
Research Projects: The scientists from the Centre receive extramural funding from SERB- DST, Nano Mission-DST, DST-WOS (A) projects, in addition to the core grant from DST. Active collaborations with industry have resulted in several prestigious projects, such as Tata Steel Advanced Materials Research Centre (TSAMRC), Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC), Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), with HPCL, and CeNS-HHV Nanomission project.
Central Research Facilities (CRF): The CRF launched in 2019 offers access to a variety of scientific research facilities not only to CeNS researchers but also to the research community from other academic institutions and industry. The facility provides expert technical support enabling efficient data collection with feasibility to analyze and interpret data.
Tech-Platform: The singular web-based platform was created to invite industry and budding entrepreneurs alike to participate in the Centre’s tech-oriented activities to nurture and realize indigenous technology in the field of nanoscience.
INDUSTRY BASED ACTIVITIES
Tata Steel Advanced Materials Research Centre (TSAMRC) in CeNS: Tata Steel has set up the Tata Steel Advanced Materials Research Centre (TSAMRC) at CeNS which is responsible for developing a long-term strategic roadmap in the area of advanced materials.
HPCL Project: CeNS signed an MoU with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) to find value addition to industrial carbon waste under the Swachh Bharat programme.
CeNS-HHV Collaboration: An industrial project (funded by DST Nanomission) with Hind High Vacuum (HHV), Bengaluru, to prototype
