User Groups
Elderly (also for post-operative patients in home and hospital environment)
Description and Functionality
The prototype is a wearable band where physiological parameters, such as, body temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation rate (SPO2) and body acceleration can be monitored remotely. The system can be used with real time cloud interface using web server www.pervasive-iot.com.
State-of-the-art
In India, no commercial sensor nodes with similar features are available in market. The developed nodes are wearable, cost effective, easily reconfigurable, minimum in size, non-invasive, power efficient and wireless. The system is Internet of Things (IoT) enabled and can operate home based electrical gadgets using user’s body temperature (Actuator control)
Stage of Development
The prototype has been extensively field tested in home and hospital environments and is ready for commercialization.
