A big hello to all showmen, show societies and
friends of our industry,
The spring show runs have now come to a close and the summer carnivals are now upon us.
The show run was a mixed bag of ups and downs, as we had mostly strong winds and rain on the show days and
fine weather during the week.
This year Mount Gambier Show was light on due to Geelong and Mildura clashing, which long term is not the best for the show, even if there is a short-term win for the showmen who do attend that year.
There have finally been some plant renewal registrations trickling through from our Gods and after 6 to 12 months wait. Most of our members now have hard copies of them and to think it only took
a couple of, please explain phone calls to them.The shows have returned to pre pandemic earnings as we are no longer the among the only forms of entertainment for the families of Australia, now the world has opened once again.
It also is interesting now to consider that an infection that a couple of years ago, made you have to legally isolate and shut down the whole country! You can now catch it and go to work in your office the next day.
