As we close out another vibrant
year for the Victorian Showmen’s
Guild, it gives me great pleasure—
on behalf of our President and
Executive Committee—to extend
warm season’s greetings to all our
members, partners, and friends
through this final 2025 edition of
the Outdoor Showman magazine.
This year has been defined by
collaboration, resilience, and the
unwavering spirit of the travelling
entertainment industry. To our valued
subscribers and loyal advertisers—
Greigs Novelties South, HIB Insurance
Brokers, MayMax Donuts, AAC,
and more recently Bargains Galore
—thank you for your consistent
support and for standing proudly
alongside our Guild throughout 2025.
I’d also like to extend my sincere
thanks to our fellow guilds and
associations — the Showmen’s Guild
of Australasia, the Showmen’s Guild
of South Australia, the Tasmanian
Showmen’s Guild, and the West
Australian Showmen’s Association.
Your support, collaboration, and
genuine camaraderie throughout
the year have been invaluable.
Together, we continue to strengthen
our industry, share knowledge, and
champion the work we all care so
deeply about. I’m grateful for the
partnership and friendship we share,
and I look forward to continuing this
positive spirit into the year ahead.
A heart felt thank you to our publishing
team, whose professionalism
ensures this magazine continues to
reflect the best of our industry. To
Faith Perrett of Faith Gini Graphic
Design, and to Alastair Troedel and
the team at Eastern Press, your
dedication and creativity remain
integral to the success of every issue.
We also extend our appreciation to
John MacDonnell for another year
of outstanding contributions to
our Circus and Rodeo section. His
commitment and industry insight add
depth and richness to our publication.
