Youth Athletics
Flag Football
Grades 1-4
Flag Football provides kids the oppourtunity to be part of a team, make new friends, and have fun while participating in an activity which encour- ages teamwork and good sportsmanship. The program runs approximately 10 weeks. Grade entering in the fall. Games played on Saturday.
Games played primarily at LHS, Baseball Stadium 14100 Franklin Ave.

Little Southwest Modi ed Flag Football
Grades 3-4
3rd and 4th grade Modi ed Flag Football porgram is a new program designed for players to have fun and learn the fundamentals of football. Lakewood will have 1 team of 14 players. Players will par- ticipate in a 5-6 game schedule Season format will be based on the number of registrations.
Equipment distribution and practice to begin in early August. Games played on Saturdays start- ing in September. Games may also be played at various locations provided by participating communities.

Little Southwest Travel Tackle Football
Grades 5-6
Lakewood Recreation participates in the Little Southwest Conference Tackle Football League which consists of teams from Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Shef eld. Players will participate in a 7 game schedule.
Equipment distribution and practice to begin in early August. Games played on Saturdays starting in September at various locations provided by participating communities.
Home Games played primarily at Gar eld Middle School, Stadium 13114 Detroit Ave.
Resident $85/NR $100
Player Assesment - Players skills will be evaluated by the coaches the  rst week of practice to help guide the placement of players and create parity among teams if there is more than one team in an age group.
Cheerleading
Grades 3-4
Participants will cheer for the 3-4 grade tackle football teams participating in a 5 to 6 game schedule. Practices will begin in early August.
Uniforms provided by the Recreation Depart- ment. Games played on Saturdays starting in September. Games may also be played at various locations provided by participating communities.

Travel Cheerleading
Grades 5-6
Participants will cheer for the 5-6 grade tackle football teams in the Little Southwest Confer- ence Tackle Football League which consists of teams from Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Westpark Cheerleaders will cheer for a 7 game schedule.
Uniforms provided by the Recreation Depart- ment. Games played on Saturdays starting in September at various locations provided by participating communities.
