THE STAR
by Braelyn Germaine
There once was a star in the sky Who knew it was his time to die. He fell with a swish
And made children wish
On that old shooting star with a sigh.
And sought out the star for his plea.
He dived down as deep as he dared. The star still flickered and flared. Though hot to the touch
It didn’t hurt much
So clutching it, love he declared.
He quickly rowed back to the one Whose hair shone as bright as the sun. He gave her his love
With the star from above
And promised his heart she had won.
The star she then took with delight And loved him with all of her might. With a glowing full heart
They swore never to part
And married the very same night.
