Blowing out irrigation systems helps pre- vent breaking of sprinklers and back ow devices. Drain hoses but keep them handy, perhaps hanging in the garage, ready for potential winter watering. Keep plant roots warm with a bit of mulch to help your land- scape bounce back in the spring. And use paper tree wrap on new and soft bark trees to prevent sun and ice damage.
