The Cedar Hill Cemetery Tour Sat., October 10
Join the Castle Rock Historical Society Sat., October 10th for a leisurely walk through historic grave sites in Cedar Hill Cemetery which was founded in 1875 and is the only cemetery in Castle Rock. It contains the remains of pioneers signi cant in the early history of Castle Rock and Douglas County. The tour begins at 4:30pm. Reservations are required this year. For more information, contact

Spooktacular - October 24
Halloween fun for the entire family!
Family-friendly costumes are en-
couraged, but not required. Activities
include games, prizes, food, and of
course, candy. This free event is held
outdoors, so please dress warmly. Due to COVID-19 safety and social distancing guidelines, the event will be hosted outdoors at the Amphitheater and the Millhouse. The event will be limited to 250 participants, so register beforehand for a time slot. Cleaning will take place in between each time slot. Register at CRgov.com/Registration.
The Pie Bake-Off is open to all bakers. There will be two categories for judging: fruit and non-fruit pies, as well as a new youth category has been added this year. Pies will be assessed based on appearance, crust,  lling and overall  avor and taste. There is a $30 entry fee and the event will be limited to 25 adult (16+) and 25 youth (up to age 15 at time of contest) contestants. Click for more information.

Pie Bake-Off - November 7
Join the Castle Rock Historical Society for a walking tour of Castle Rock featuring tales of ghostly and tragic events in Castle Rock’s history. Come hear stories of the Cantril School, The Old Stone Church, The B&B Café, Hangman’s Gulch and more. Tours begin at the Castle Rock Museum at 7pm.
Please wear a mask and dress for the weather. Tours are free, donations are encouraged. Reservations are required:

Castle Rock Starlighting - November 21
Celebrate Starlighting downtown on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, a community event shared by residents dating back to 1936. Hot chocolate, non pro t booths, strolling entertainers, live entertainment and of course Santa will be present for photos and visits. See more in next issue!
