The Farm2Table Meat Cooperative
Neil and Teresa Fischer, owners of Bella Vista Bison Ranch, located 20 minutes southeast of Castle Rock, have been raising bison since 1999. They do it the old fashioned way, they raise and nished every animal on the ranch and never use pesticides, growth hormones, or antibiotics.
The Fischer’s
started the Farm
2 Table Meat
Cooperative
in 2013 that is
comprised of
several dozen
farms and ranches across Colorado that now directly distribute local meats to consumers along the front range. Farm2TableMeats.com is their website to join their monthly meat club and order over 100 local meat items and have it delivered directly to
your home. Farm2Table meats harnesses the saving of direct buying from Colorado farms and ranches that humanely raise beef, bison, elk, yak, pork and chicken. The you purchase food from a local cooperative, you help the local economy and allow the farmer to keep the pro t often goes to wholesalers and retailers.
Do you know where your meat comes from and how it was raised? All of the farms and ranches in the Farm2table Cooperative are
committed to transparency and the same high standards of all their pastured meats. Animals are humanely treated and no pesticides, growth hormones or antibiotics are ever used.
Check out all the agricultural education and recreation events at Bella Vista Bison including their new Old West Dinner Theatre show called the Bison Adventure on August 18 & September 13 (see pg. 8 in this issue), and the Bison Encounter every Friday through September.
