things I N C A S T L E R OC K Founded in 2009, Promise Ranch is a 501 (c)(3) non-pro t organization that provides Equine-Assisted Services for children and adults with developmental, physical, social or emotional healing needs. We offer Adaptive Riding, Horse-Mounted Therapies, Horsemanship for Veterans, Ranch-based Occupational, Speech and Music Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, and Supported Employment Services. We are passionate about opening our doors to our Veteran, Active- Duty Military and First Responder communities. In partnership with Helping Heroes, we are proud to present the  rst three groups in our Helping Heroes Program, for free. Our Connection Hour is our  rst group held on Thursday’s from 5:30 – 7:00pm and offers a gathering spot in a peaceful ranch setting for interaction with our horses and each other. We want to offer time and space to connect, relax, make new friends, and build camaraderie with like-minded people. Games and light snacks are provided. Our second group in our Helping Heroes Program is our Intro to Horsemanship. This group offers the opportunity for meaningful individual and group interactions with our horses. Participants will learn how to create a safe, fair, and effective horse-human relationships and may develop or improve important life skills such as self-awareness, self-con dence, verbal and non-verbal communication skills and emotion regulation. Along with some fun and interesting facts about our horse participants. This group will be held multiple times a year on Saturday mornings from10:00 amto 11:30 am. Our next session begins on July 30th and runs until September 3rd. Our third group is a skills-based group titled Therapy Group I, led by a Licensed Professional Counselor and Air Force Veteran. This program provides a tangible hands-on learning experience in partnership with our horses, to help individuals work on relationship building, communication (to include non-verbal) and leadership skills. As well as emotional intelligence, boundaries, safety in relationship, improving self-esteem, self-awareness, self-con dence and learning about/practicing mindfulness skills. It will be offered several times a year on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm. Our next 10-week session begins on September 13th and runs through October 15th. Click for more information or to sign up!
