CR Historical Society Presentation - May 16
Please join us on Thur., May 16th for a presentation by Jim Hansmann on his book “Castle Rock, An Architectural & Historic Walking Tour”. Jim is the Collections Curator at The Castle Rock Museum. He has an MA in History and a minor in Museum Studies. He’s been with the Museum for over 8 years and has learned a lot about the history of Castle Rock. Come hear stories of the old courthouse  re, the  rst church in town, the wild times at the Keystone Hotel and many more fun stories. This presentation was originally scheduled for March, but was postponed due to the blizzard. Books will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served at 6:45 pm with the presentation starting at 7:00 pm. Philip S. Miller Library 100 S. Castle Rock Museum New Exhibit - May 18
Did you know we used to have a race track here in Castle Rock? It was called the Continental Divide Raceways (CDR) and was located just South of town. Come learn about this great attraction at the Castle Rock Museum. The grand opening of this new exhibit will be Sat. May 18, 11:00am to 4:00pm. We’ll have some actual race cars on hand and refreshments. We will also have an unveiling of a new painting of the Castle Rock Museum by local artist, Cindy Welch.
