Summer Watering Times
Watering at night is more important than you think. Between 20 and 50 percent of water applied to a lawn during the day is lost to evaporation. You pay for this water and it literally disappears into the air! In the evening, the temperature is lower, wind is milder and humidity is higher — all attributing to more ef cient irrigation. Plus, with our high, dry cli- mate, watering at night helps prevent disease and fungus growth. Remember to take a stroll around your yard at night and regularly check your irrigation for leaks, overspray and water waste.
