Positive Presence Global launches the Positive Presence Foundation to
Fundraise $100,000 April 27 for Suicide Prevention
2019 and will be hosted at Colorado Golf Club at 8000 PreservationTrail in Parker, from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
The subject of youth suicide is
relentless and anxiety provoking.
According to the American Psychological Association – bullying,cyber-bullying and school violence across the country have increased to seismic proportions,leading to an epidemic in insigni cance. Annual estimates of suicide attempts among young people, ages 15 to 24, surpass 1 million in the United States. These estimates correspond to an average of one attempt every three minutes,500 hundred attempts daily and a completed suicide every 90 minutes. The Colorado Health Institute has shared that the state’s youth suicide death toll has been climbing for the past decade, giving Colorado one of the highest youth suicide rates in the nation.
Positive Presence Foundation believes it is the social responsibility of our entire community to unite against this statewide epidemic. It is our mission to use these funds to help eradicate insigni cance to mitigate teenage suicide, depression, and anxiety. Positive Presence Foundation provides full paid scholarships to vetted local teenagers in crisis to attend an 8-month life-changing and life-saving con dence coaching program through Positive Presence Global. Through this exclusive, immersive experience, our scholarshiprecipientscanlearnthelifeskillsneededtosustain our ever-changing and challenging society. These classes include one-on-one coaching in emotional intelligence, self- con dence,positivebodyimage,self-esteem,resiliency,ethics, morals & values, health & tness, styling, nancial education, goal-setting, modern manners, beauty and more.
