Tax Season
is in Full Swing
By Janell Ball, RTRP, Pro Accounting & Tax Services
I recommend you le your tax return early to avoid someone else ling a fraudulent return with your name and social security number. If someone should le a fraudulent tax return with your name and social security number, please contact the IRS and le a police report on the incident.
If you have led your return and it has been more than 14 days for direct deposit of your refund you can go to www.irs. gov and go to “Where is my refund?” and nd out the status of your refund.
I cannot stress enough about checking your withholdings on your wages. As reports are coming out taxpayers are either breaking even or owing on their taxes for 2018. ey changed the tax rates and they also changed the amount of tax that was withheld from your paycheck so realistically you got the money throughout the year, whether you realized it or not.
Grow your business!
Bring your business cards!
If you have not made your tax appointment, please do before the rush is on. If you don’t have a tax preparer please give me a call for an appointment. Janell Ball, RTRP, Pro Accounting & Tax Services, 303-324-8617.
