Climb4Change is a unique racing event that offers vari- ous timed challenge races on the 200-step Challenge Hill built into the side of a mountain at Philip S. Miller Park. Participants ascend 178 feet at least once in any one of the four climb challenge events. There is also a non-timed fun run/walk that families can enjoy together on their own anywhere in the park. Earth Day in Castle Rock - April 17
We will be harvesting and planting willows at 3 different crossings along East Plum Creek Trail on Sat., April 11 from 9-11am (rain date: April 24). These crossings were disturbed as a result of the recent construction for the southern extension of the trail between S. Perry Street and Crystal Valley Parkway and need to be restored to improve the riparian habitat. Register to volunteer and for more info.
Join the Town in this annual area-wide effort to improve and enhance our local creeks by collecting and removing trash and debris along trails, Sat., May 1 from 8:30-11:00am. (Backupdate:May15)Volunteerswillbeprovidedgloves, bags and a commemorative neck gaiter, while supplies last. Snacks and water will be available. All ages are welcome and this is a perfect opportunity to ful ll community ser- vice hours while keeping Castle Rock beautiful and our watershed clean. Register.
