Castle Rock re ghters will be out at multiple locations throughout Town this year collecting money for MDA. The money collected stays local and assists families with multiple muscular diseases. See more on page 6.

First Fridays – September 3
Friday nights in the summer are made for spending time at Festival Park, enjoying the beautiful weather, and unwinding from the long week. This First Friday, House music, cocktails, and children's activities begins at 5pm; 5K Run begins at 5:30; Live music by Shelvis and the Roustabouts play from 5:45 p.m.-9 p.m.
CR Historical Society – September 9
Join the Castle Rock Historical Society on Thurs., September 9th as local author Laurie Marr Wasmund presents the second half of her two-part series chronicling the building of the American Expeditionary Force during WWI through the experiences of her great-uncle Corporal Henry Halgate Storm and as she explores the movements on the Home Front that de ned our present-day country. Laurie is the granddaughter of local historian and author, Josephine Marr. Refreshments will be served at 6:45pm with the presentation beginning at 7pm at the Philip S. Miller Library 100 S.
