the freezing temperatures outside. Once free, she was immediately wrapped in a moving blanket and brought to the League where she received a veterinary exam, nutritious food and warm shelter.
Frightened and freezing, the kitten, against all odds, is healthy. Upon examination, staff discovered that she had some swelling and pain in her front paws, particularly on her left front leg. She is being treated with pain medication and the League’s veterinary team will monitor her for a few days before she goes to a foster home until she is ready for adoption. The patron who discovered this kitten is interested in adopting her once she is fully recovered.
Without intervention from the compassionate stranger, it is unlikely this kitten would have survived the night.
