CyCle and soak is the method of splitting wa- tering time for a zone into several, shorter periods of watering (cycle) then waiting in between cycles (soak). This allows water to soak into the soil with- out runoff. Cycle time is the maximum number of minutes for which the zone can run. Soak time is the minimum time between zone watering to allow water to soak into the soil. The combined cycle times should not exceed the total planned irrigation time.
