CR Historical Society Presentation - October 11
Please join us on Thurs., October 11 for a presentation by Larry Schlupp from Historic Douglas County, Inc. about
“The Goodnight Legacies.” Primarily a self-educated man, Charles Goodnight possessed a strong entrepre- neurial mind and superb innovating attributes to become successful and a key contributing factor in the growth of the cattle industry. Goodnight created a trail to bring cattle from Texas on Northward, even coming through Douglas County and is depicted in the Larry McMurtry’s Lonesome Dove series. Refreshments will be served at 6:45 pm with the presentation starting at 7:00 pm. Philip S. Miller Library 100 S.
