Do you remember a time when the best of summer included the excitement, food and fun of your hometown County Fair and Rodeo?
This summer recreate the good times with your friends, family and neighbors at the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo, July 31-Aug. 8 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock.
Enjoy carnival rides, live music, magic shows, an “Old West Town” with pony rides, and classic fair food, as well as – a foodie’s favorite – food trucks. Invite your children to become a farmer for a day at Discovery Ranch and learn where eggs, apples, potatoes and much more are grown.
Sign up for the fun- lled pie-eating contest, stick horse rodeo or mutton bustin’ and while family fun abounds during the entire event, don’t miss Family Day on Sunday, Aug. 8, when admission and a pancake breakfast are both free thanks to the generosity of Fair and Rodeo sponsor, IREA. For information about these events and more old-fashioned family fun, visit FairandRodeoFun.com.
e Douglas County Fair and Rodeo is a more than 100-year- old family tradition with plenty to entertain the whole family including two entertainment stages, live music, several PRCA Rodeos, a carnival, 4-H and FFA exhibits – including livestock, creative arts and ag/ oriculture projects, the Junior Livestock Sale and much more.
