Earth Day in Castle Rock
Willow Harvest & Planting
Sat., April 20 • 9am-Noon
Rain date is Saturday, April 27
Come celebrate Earth Day by helping to restore disturbed areas along Sellars Gulch in Downtown Castle Rock. We will be harvesting willow branches from healthy riparian (streamside) habitat upstream of Festival Park, then replanting them along Sellars Gulch as it travels through Festival Park. This activity is perfect for Scout groups working on their conservation badges! Learn how to improve and restore riparian habitat.
