Riddle Me Wednesdays
Wednesdays—June & July
Stop in Wednesdays throughout the summer and try our Riddle of the Day. Correctly guess in three tries and win yourself a fabulous prize! Don’t get it right? Come back next week for another try!
Program 2021
The Youth Summer Reading Program is for children ages 3 to going into 6th grade. Those going into 6th grade have the option of staying with the youth program or moving up to the Teen Program.
Youth Summer Reading
 Registration: June 11 – July 9
Two ways to participate: Online through Beanstack or in person with paper log and stickers. The two programs are identical, it’s just that one is done completely online and the other is done with a paper log and stickers.
Online (Beanstack Program): Register at http://miopl.beanstack.org or through the Beanstack Tracker app on your mobile device.
In person: Register in person, online (www.MiOPL.org), or by phone (248) 628-3034 x216. If you register online or by phone you must come in to pick up your materials by July 9.
Award Celebration
An award celebration will be held outside on Tuesday, August 10 (Rain Date: Wednesday, August 11) at the Library for anyone who reads at least 25 days over the course of the program. Note: To receive an invitation, you must hand in your reading log with at least 25 days read (In person program) or have logged at least 25 days on Beanstack (Online program). More information about this will be given to you when you register for Summer Reading.

Bird Bonanza
(Children entering 2nd – 6th Grades) Friday, June 25, 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. *Registration begins June 11
Want to learn the basics of bird watching? Want to
make a bird feeder? Join us at the library for a tweetastic time.
Codebusters: Wild Animal Treasure Hunt (Children entering 2nd – 6th Grades) Monday, July 12, 6:30 p.m.
*Registration begins June 11
Join us for an outdoor adventure where you will race to find hidden clues, solve riddles about wild animals, and discover a code to find a secret treasure!
 IMPORTANT! A Word About Volunteering:
In light continuing health and safety concerns, we will not be having Teen Volunteers this summer. We understand many of you rely on OPL for service hours and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate our teen volunteers and look forward to collaborating with you in the future.
