In Search of Yearbooks
Attention Brandon Township and Ortonville residents! The library is seeking lightly used Brandon High School yearbooks for the following years to add to our non-circulating collection:
1950 through 1956, 1961 through 1964, 1995, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2013-2017
What better way to preserve the history of our community than maintaining a collection of high school yearbooks
at your local library. It is a
guarantee that researchers in
the future will find connections
to Brandon and Ortonville’s
past. Thanks in advance
for your help in supporting the library; our current and future patrons thank you! Year books can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk during library open hours.
Staff Reads
BTPL staff want to share their favorite recipes with you this holiday season. Whether you are looking for soups to keep you warm all winter, entrees to wow holiday party guests, or yummy cookie recipes
to make as a family, the recipe blog will have it all! New recipes will be posted on our website every week, so be sure to keep checking back so you don’t miss out on any of the deliciousness.
3 For 3 Readers’ Advisory
If you share three books and/or authors you like, we’ll share three book recommendations for you! On Wednesdays from 2:30-5:30 PM, log on to Facebook and comment on our post what you’re interested in reading, and see what we pick out for you! Give us three hours and we’ll give you three new books tailored to your taste to explore. Check out facebook.com/brandonlibrary to use this service.
Our website has a wonderful new blog! Take a look at what our staff
is reading and what they have to say about books published in 2021 and 2022. Our Staff Reads page includes titles of all genres, for all ages. Visit brandonlibrary.org/ staff-reads.
Check out a Chromebook
Thanks to a 2021 CARES Grant,
we now have a Chromebook for
you to check out and take home. Chromebooks are small laptops that you can use to access the internet. Our Chromebook can be checked out for up to 21 days and requires a form to be filled out before each use.
