JUNIOR GOLF AT SHENANDOAH COUNTRY CLUB
Dear Shenandoah Country Club Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my feelings about our Junior Golf Program .
This is a chance for your children to be involved in an activity that will last a lifetime . When I was 12 years old, I was given the chance to participate in the junior golf program at our club, and the love of the game began . During the summer, I couldn’t wait for Friday mornings when the clinics took place . I loved the comradery of my friends, the competition and the instruction . If not for the junior golf program, I know I would not have had the privilege of serving the membership at Shenandoah Country Club, and definitely would not have had the wonderful career it has given me .
Starting Friday June, 18th and for the next 7 weeks, Friday mornings will be devoted to your junior golfers . The cost of the clinic will be $245 per child which will include lunch, instruction and year end awards . Children of Golf Members, and Non Golf Members,
may participate . The age range of participants will be 7 years of age to 15 years old . The children will be put in appropriate groups according to talent and age . In this program, fun, safety, etiquette, rules, golf fundamentals and especially character are stressed when they become a junior golfer . I will be doing the instruction, along with my fine PGA Assistant Professional Rod Duffe . We bring over 50 years of teaching experience and lessons of life to your children .
The Junior Golf Program will only be successful if we can count on parent involvement by volunteering to help . We will need golf course walkers to assure safety of the young
