Using visual aids is a great way to liven up your presentation. It’s also a great way to break up the sameness for the audience – it gives them something to look at other than you for a change. And it gives you the opportunity to emphasize key bits of information that you want to stand out.
Like anything, there are some key things to consider when using PowerPoint or any other visual aids.
The golden rule is that you as a human being are the main dish, and your PowerPoints are a side dish, not the other way around.
You as a fellow human being, will connect with your audience, not your slides. This is true no matter how good they are!
