    WELCOME
If you can't influence people, then they will not follow you. And if people won't follow, you are not a leader.
~ John C. Maxwell
Welcome to Developing World Class Presentation Skills! And congratulations on making the decision to become a better speaker, presenter and communicator. It is a fact that almost everyone on the planet interacts with other people almost all day, almost every day!
And with over seven billion people on the planet, that is a lot of human interactions taking place every second. Each one of those interactions is almost always an attempt at influence. We are all trying to influence one another in every different way possible. Something the influence attempts are very direct and overt. Something they are much subtler.
Sometimes the attempts are covert, and we do not want the other party to know we are trying to influence them. Sometimes we are not even consciously aware ourselves that we are trying to influence other people. Sometimes the attempts at influence are verbal and sometimes they are non-verbal. It could be as simple and subtle as a smile or a nod, a sigh, raising your eyes to heaven, a micro shake of the head or as direct and menacing as a thumping of the table while shouting at the top of your voice.
