George Bernard Shaw summed it up beautifully when he said:
A man learns to skate by staggering about and making a fool of himself. Indeed he progresses in all things by resolutely making a fool of himself.
One of the things that you may need to let go of in order to grow, is your insistence to do things perfectly!
You will not do anything perfectly at first. If you can find the courage to accept this and willingness to embrace the journey of growth, then getting good as a speaker, or anything else, is simply a matter of putting one foot in front of the other.
Good luck!
