ACTING IN THE CERTAIN WAY
1 Begin to do small things in a great way. You must put the whole power of your great
2 soul into every act.

4 THOUGHT is the creative power, or the impelling force which causes the
5 creative power to act; thinking in a Certain Way will bring riches to you, but
6 you must not rely upon thought alone, paying no attention to personal
7 action. That is the rock upon which many otherwise scientific metaphysical
8 thinkers meet shipwreck—the failure to connect thought with personal
9 action. We have not yet reached the stage of development, even supposing
10 such a stage to be possible, in which man can create directly from Formless
11 Substance without nature's processes or the work of human hands; man
12 must not only think, but his personal action must supplement his thought.
13 By thought you can cause the gold in the hearts of the mountains to be
14 impelled toward you; but it will not mine itself, refine itself, coin itself into
15 double eagles, and come rolling along the roads seeking its way into your
16 pocket.
