68 SELF IMAGE MASTERY ACTION GUIDE
 Visualization Exercise 2 : Mental Movie Experience
This simple exercise builds on the last exercise, so it is best if you have practiced and experimented with the first exercise for several days before you move on.
In this exercise you will become the observer of yourself, but this time as if you were a third party watching you. You will watch this third party you perform various activities.
You can design a safe place or a favorite place in your mind which will be the venue for you to watch your movies each time you do this exercise.
You may find it useful to think about the different performances you are going to watch in advance.
You can use this technique to re-watch your past, best experiences. This is an excellent way to feel strong, confident and capable about yourself and your abilities. Very successful people do this naturally. If you do not, you can make a point of doing it deliberately.
You can also use this technique to watch yourself perfectly execute future experiences. You can get experience and familiarity and learning of a future experience in advance! This acts as training for that future experience.
Research has shown that this is almost as good as actual experience. And Mind Movie experience and physical world experience combined are more powerful than either on their own.
Start the exercise in the same way as exercise 1.
Become aware of your thoughts, then imagine yourself sitting in your Mental Movie Venue. Take a moment to notice your surroundings in some detail. What does it look like, feel like, sound like, smell like etc.
