Influence from the platform is all about structure. A well-structured, effective presentation that is crafted for influence takes the audience on a journey. The structure that is followed can be the same for almost any presentation or interaction on almost any topic.
The structure meets the audience where they are, creates a hunger for the end product, positions the speaker as the ideal person to fulfil the newly recognized need and creates several compelling reasons to act now and why it is safe to do so.
The structure of the presentation provides a framework to be populated with relevant information for a particular audience, at a particular a time. The ‘Influencing the Outcome’ 7 step system provides the steps necessary to identify the relevant information.
From understanding who the audience is and what their requirements are, to being clear what you want to achieve, to shaping an offer just for them and then getting the right attitude of service through sales, the 7 step system makes sure that no critical components are ignored or forgotten.
Without a system, it is all too easy to focus on one or two important areas and miss some of the others. Every link in a chain is important to its overall strength. For example, preparing a solid, well-rehearsed presentation is important; but forgetting the simple step of considering who the audience is can be the difference between success and failure.
A reliable system gives the best chance of taking the audience through the necessary steps of the journey to buy.
