Hey Men,
We are officially finished with the first half of 2018. Have you made all the progress you had hoped for when you established your New Year’s goals? If I were a gambling man, I would say you have and many of you I know for a fact have exceeded your goals. However, if not, do not be discouraged. The men that implemented the 12 Week Year are staying on track to dwarf their original plans. Hey, let’s get with it and revisit Brian Moran’s 12 Week Year if need be. My team and I are constantly tracking our prog- ress with this system and I want to encourage you to do the same.
When I was 18 years old I had the burning desire to succeed. Nothing was going to get in my way. I had grit, determination and perseverance to conquer the world. As life progresses we often times let the fire diminish. Other priorities sneak in and squelch that dream. It’s imperative to constantly flame the spark. What are you going to do this quarter to stoke the coals? Are your dreams on auto pilot? I suggest to- day that you surround yourself with your mastermind members and revisit what you want to accomplish for the remainder of the year.
Men,
Over three summers in college, I got the privilege of working at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Ser-
vice Academy Intern. At seven thousand feet in the hills outside Sante Fe, this was the place where the first atomic bomb was designed and created, in the 80’s when I was there it was the peak of the Reagan Buildup and the Star Wars initiative. At the time, Los Alamos had the most PhDs per square acre of any place in the world.
The biggest problem was often picking out the geniuses from the janitors?
In the military rank was obvious. The National Lab was run by the Depratment of Energy and the University of California. Most everyone wore similar clothes. Groom- ing or lack thereof was consistent between many genius- es and janitors. “Los Alamos formal” meant socks were required.
The surest way to identify the genius or the janitor was to see who was asking the questions?
The janitors largely knew what they need to do their jobs with excellence. They didn’t ask questions.
Those charged with creating something new were always looking for answers.
So what does this mean to you?
When you show up for your Man in the Middle, are you a genius who arrives with questions or a janitor who knows everything he needs to know?

What about personally? Are you having date nights and making your children feel important and spe- cial? When was the last time you did something adventurous and out of the ordinary to build lasting memories? Remember, you only get one chance to go through life with your family, let’s not squander it.
So, get up and let’s cross that finish line. I KNOW you got what it takes.
You guys are the BEST!
Big A
