PDQ in digital move with Screen L350UV
DQ Labels has made its first move into digital printing, installing a
Screen L350UV inkjet press from Jet Technologies, and seeing its turnaround times go from two weeks to two days as a result.
The company says the Screen L350UV system has enabled PDQ to move away from a reliance on flexo printing,
and says the L350UV system has enabled PDQ to digitally perform 90 per cent of its printing jobs.
“After experiencing such a high level of demand over the past year due to the pressures of Covid-19 - particularly from our grocery and chemical industry clients - it was clear that we needed a digital revamp,” said Paul Bentham, managing director, at PDQ Labels.
He said, “We needed a digital printer that could get orders out the door in the fastest, most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
“The system also has the added flexibility to digitally adjust or alter label designs, branding or ingredients immediately at the time of processing.”
The pre-owned L350UV
has been in operation for six years at another local label printer. It was fully serviced and refurbished, and given a full warranty, by Screen, before installation at PDQ
