PPG’s Vibrance Collection has long been
the ‘go-to’ choice for anything from street machines to high-end, award winning show cars.
NONE OF THIS has changed with the latest update to the range but the Vibrance Collection’s capabilities now go even further thanks to the addition of three primers and a clearcoat, along with hardeners and thinners to support these products. Crucially, PPG’s R&D team has fine-tuned each of these new products specifically for the custom painting sector and they all come in the new Vibrance Collection black labelling and packaging. In contrast to PPG’s premium refinish systems – the Envirobase High Performance low-VOC range and the Deltron solvent-borne range – the focus is not on process speed and overall productivity. It’s all about products which are formulated to perfectly fit with the time and processes that go into creating a high-end finish on a custom car, street machine, etc. Now it’s possible to bring any dream project
to life by staying within one paint system from primer right through to clearcoat. As a result, there is the added peace-of- mind of having the Vibrance Collection’s legendary colours and dazzling effects, along with outstanding durability.
This new range of primers lay an ideal foundation on which to build your colourful dream finish and the clearcoat literally puts the finishing touch on all your hard work.
• VCP250 High Build Primer – A high build primer that offers
exceptional film build when used as a spray filler, yet is versatile enough to be used as a surfacer. Perfect for application over properly prepared polyester putties, sound, fully-cured paintwork, fiberglass, steel, aluminium and OEM coatings in good condition.
• VCP150 Epoxy Urethane Primer is easy to mix and quick to dry, this adhesion promoting primer provides an excellent base for bodywork and restorations. Offering excellent adhesion and corrosion protection, it’s designed for use under
polyester spray filler and body fillers, as well as over properly
prepared steel, aluminium and galvanized steel.
• VCP220 DTM Primer is easy to apply and sand, this two
component, direct-to-metal high build primer offers excellent adhesion and corrosion protection and can be applied over properly prepared steel, aluminium, fiberglass, and existing coatings in good condition.
• VCC580 Custom Clear – This premium, high build polyurethane clearcoat is easy to apply and polish to a deep, super glossy appearance that is perfect for a show quality finish. As well as the ability to fill tape lines and graphics, it has great vertical hold and can also be used as a lock down clear to protect and level graphics, along with providing a layer to sand prior to flowcoating.
