KEEGAN CRONIN
Keegan Cronin grew up
in a small coastal town and spent most of his days in the ocean. He was an artistic kid growing up and it wasn’t long before people started hiring him to draw for them or take pictures. His passion for weddings was born shortly after doing his first few for friends of friends. Cronin always wanted to pursue a career with something that involved enriching people’s lives. He went on to study art and visual communication/ design at university. The degree led him into his passion for image making. Before he knew it, he was soon hooked on art and emotive imagery.

Summertime
“I photographed this wedding in Newcastle. I thought the iconic ocean baths was a nice spot for some photos later in the afternoon. I was hesitant to go there due to the crowds sunbathing and swimming, and I knew it could potentially make it hard to get images of the couple without too many distractions in the background.
“I like to create images that are somewhat unique wherever possible, so I tried to look at the chaotic crowds on the day in
a positive way and how I could incorporate that vibe into some of the photographs.
“The couple walked into the shot and I waited for them to get to the middle before I fired off a photo.
“To be honest, I didn’t think much of the image at the time and it wasn’t until I really looked at the photo in detail that I realised it was so unique with all the people in their own little world, not even realising we were there.”
