                 HENSOLDT’S OPTRONIC
MAST SYSTEM 150
The Cutting Edge Optronic Mast System
WITH more than 100 years of experience in optical sensors for maritime applications, HENSOLDT is the global market leader of submarine peri- scopes and optronic mast system. Listening attentively to navies around the world has led us to a profound under- standing of their operational demands and requirements, allowing our cutting-edge technologies to not only re- spond to these requirements but to go above and beyond by introducing new capabilities, thereby making room for necessary tactical innovation.
HENSOLDT facilitates maintenance and repairs, optimis- ing logistics and subsequently lowering lifecycle costs of the systems. Moreover, HENSOLDT is also able to provide in-country workshops up to Level 4.
Our submarine optronic solutions are providing high-res- olution all-light, all-weather visual capabilities. The systems can be completely integrated into the combat management system (CMS) or they can operate as a stand-alone solution in new-built or retrofit submarines.
OMS 150 is the latest enhanced new sensor system in the proven design of the OMS 100 family. It integrates the latest in camera development to include Short Wave Infra- red (SWIR) capability. The OMS 150 comprises a unique combination of high-definitionTV (HDTV), low-light levelTV (LLLTV) and short-wave infrared (SWIR) sensors, aligned in a single objective lens design, all on the same line of sight, realising a true all-light, all-weather visual capability. To minimize the exposure time of the mast, a Quick Look Round (QLR) of 360° can be conducted in less than three seconds and a full panoramic view can be displayed in less than ten seconds, contributing to the situational awareness of the surface operational environment.
Real-time image enhancement and an intuitive Human-Ma- chine interface (HMI) environment with integrated automated
functions all contribute to an unprecedented level of situation- al awareness while at periscope depth.
KEY FEATURES
OMS 150 Key Features:
• 4K ColourTV Camera
• HD LLLTV, HD MWIR and SWIR
• Eye-Safe Laser Rangefinder
• Full Combat System Integration • RealTime Image Enhancement
• Dual axis LOS stabilisation,
• 3rd axis image processing
• Antenna Interface for Electronics • EW Antenna and GPSITAR-free
The latest sensor technology of the OMS 150 is comple- mented by an enhanced digital fibre-optic data transfer capability and image processing technology, allowing the display of images from up to three cameras simultaneously. The user-friendly intuitive HMI enables more automated op- erations of the optronics mast system, and the combination of sensor data by overlaying images significantly improves situational awareness. Real time image enhancement in- cludes turbulence correction and navigation-light detection as well as overlaying image data (alpha-blending) and im- age fusion. Recorded images and videos also include mis- sion relevant meta data, such as navigational details and time of recording.
