2021 HAS SEEN PYNE & PARTNERS SOLIDIFY THEIR PLACE AS AUSTRALIA’S LEADING DEFENCE INDUSTRY GOVERNMENT RELATIONS FIRM
THE strategic advisory and public af- fairs business, chaired by former De- fence Minister, the Hon Christopher Pyne, alongside Managing Director, Mr Adam Howard, has seen signifi- cant growth in 2021 with the opening of a Canberra office and the appoint- ment of two new Partners.
These appointments recognise the continued growth of Pyne & Partners’ strategic advisory and public affairs business and the trust that defence and space companies are putting in the firm to deliver the outcomes they need. With a focus on defence and space, Pyne & Partners has quickly become the first choice of government relations and stra- tegic advice for companies focused on defence industry.
Ms Kacey Lam, who joined Pyne & Partners in 2020, provides expert coun- sel to the firm’s clients as a Partner, fol- lowing her role as a senior ministerial adviser across the space, defence and defence industry portfolios. While Mr Andrew Joyce joined Pyne & Partners as a Partner after an extensive career in se- nior advisory and executive roles in Gov- ernment, the Australian Public Service and private industry.
Joining Ms Lam and Mr Joyce in the Canberra Office is Mr Will Redmond, who has been appointed Senior Associ- ate having previously served as a senior political, policy and media adviser in both federal and state politics.
Pyne & Partners have also appointed Miss Alexandra Longinidis in the Ad-
elaide office as an Associate working di- rectly with Mr Pyne and Mr Howard to support their clients in South Australia, nationally and internationally.
Ms Gemma Iafrate joined the firm in early 2021 as the Chairman’s Execu- tive Assistant from the office of Jenni- fer Westacott at the Business Council of Australia, having previously worked with Mr Pyne when she was Executive Assis- tant to Prime Minister Tony Abbott.
When asked about the strong growth that Pyne & Partners has seen in 2021, Mr Pyne was clear in his response. “We have a strong team with demonstrated experience and knowledge of the de- fence space. Our Clients know that we are clear eyed in our pursuit to deliver for them.” ■
