Under the control of the Commanding Officer and in synergy with the vessel’s combat system, these new-generation, vertical take-off and landing drones can conduct veritable intelligence-gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance and combat missions. They are equipped with an imaging system with high-definition and infra-red cameras, an automatic identification system, a friend/foe identifica- tion system and a maritime radar. These drones are capable of carry- ing out long-range missions and thus extend the vessel’s surveil- lance capacities. These drones can be weaponized.
