                Labels & Flexibles
New press suite from HP Indigo
With the labels and packaging market set for continued growth, HP has launched new presses for labels, flexibles, and cartons.
Supplied in ANZ by Currie Group, the new HP Indigo 6K, 8K, 25K and 35K presses are designed to meet market needs for on-demand production, SKU diversification, customisation,
and printing with reduced waste.
In label presses there is the new HP
Indigo 6K and HP Indigo 8K. The HP Indigo 6K Digital Press is the new model of the successful, high-versatility HP Indigo 6000 series. The press can deliver more applications using higher opacity white for shrink sleeves, new inks including silver, fluorescents, invisible red and green for brand protection applications and new varnishes from leading partners for higher durability. The HP Indigo 8K is the twin engine version, it offers increased productivity, reduced waste and easier transitioning between media types and jobs.
In flexible printing, HP has launched
the HP Indigo 25K, which supersedes the 20000. HP says it provides improved total cost of ownership to help labels and flexible
packaging converters grow profitably, delivering on-demand flexible packaging.
In carton presses, the HP Indigo 35K succeeds the 30000, significantly extending HP Indigo folding carton capabilities by offering enhanced productivity, wider application range and expanded colour capabilities. The portfolio includes the new sheetfed B2 HP Indigo 35K for high-value folding cartons and the new sheetfed B2 HP Indigo 15K for mixed commercial print and packaging production.
HP has also launched a new colour automation solution, Spot Master, which it says will enable converters to reach brand colours within three minutes. The company says Spot Master enables converters to deliver high colour consistency and uniformity across the entire print frame using a new patented algorithm for fast and accurate colour matching, ensuring every package looks the same no matter when or where it was printed. Spot Master will be available for the HP Indigo 35K, HP Indigo 25K, HP Indigo 6K and HP Indigo 8K presses. 21

A B Graphic launches non-stop winder solutions
Leading print finishing equipment manufacturer, A B Graphic International (ABG), has launched both a non-stop unwinder (NSU) and non-stop rewinder (NSR) solution.
The winder solutions mark ABG’s first entry into the splicing arena.
The company says both systems will be of interest to customers with medium to long runs, looking to increase productivity, improve product quality and control or reduce material waste.
Both winder solutions have a range of applications and can be integrated with any existing set- up, including presses, finishing equipment and converters, providing customers with increased flexibility. ABG says the range of applications is endless.
ABG’s standard NSU system ensures the non-stop feed of web-type materials, while the
NSR system provides continuous rewinding of a self-adhesive matrix produced with a label cutting and printing process.
A B Graphic equipment is supplied in Australia and New Zealand by Currie Group.
