CURRENT DEFENCE CONTRACTS
• EOS has over 400 R400 remote weapon systems (RWS) currently in-service with Australia’s combat forces. Sustainment and spare parts for these systems are provided by EOS.
• Land 400 Phase 2 CRV: Supply of 84 EOS R400 RWS for use on the Boxer combat reconnaissance vehicle.
• PMV Lethality upgrade: Supply of 251 EOS R400 RWS for use on the Bushmaster and Hawkei protected mobility vehicles. This delivery will be complete by Q2 2022. All systems for the PMV Lethality Upgrade have been be built in Australia in Queanbeyan, NSW and Hume, ACT.
• LAND 400 PHASE 3 IFV: Team Redback (Hanwha Defence Australia and EOS) has completed participation in the Risk Mitigation Activity phase of the project. Hanwha’s AS21 Redback armoured vehicle will be equipped with EOS’ advanced T2000 turret. The project’s RFT also mandated that all tenderers are to incorporate information for the EOS RWS into their responses.
• C4 EDGE: EOS is the lead partner for the C4 EDGE (Evolutionary Digital Ground Environment) a Communications Program
bringing together 23 Australian sovereign C4 (command control communications and computers) subject matter experts leveraging internationally agreed upon standards to scope a proof of
concept demonstration of a sovereign land battlegroup and below
communications environment for the Australian Army.
OVERSEAS
• EOS has an extensive list of foreign contracts that brings over $160 million annually into the Australian economy.
SPACE AND COMMUNICATIONS
• EOS (through its Space Systems subsidiary) has been awarded a AU$5.1 million contract by Defence for technical development. The contract commenced in Q4 2020 and will run for two years.
• EOS also has a current contract for the provision of space domain awareness data to the RAAF.
• The provision of quality naval satellite communications equipment is critical to support the Continuous Ship Building Program.
The Cobra X/Ka Triband Maritime Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Terminal has already been delivered for SEA1654
and the first tranche of SEA1180. EOS (through EM Solutions) has been contracted by the Defence Innovation Hub to develop a larger terminal with a with a view to develop a primary SATCOM terminal required to support future naval satcom requirements, noting the current Cobra terminal already supports primary SATCOM on numerous vessel classes and provides alternate SATCOM on some larger vessels.
